Maintaining your handcrafted leather briefcase 

  While your new shiny handcrafted briefcase is ready for its first outing into the world you should consider cleaning it as well. You have everything in your bag, computers, iPhones, books, files, etc etc.
Don’t be fooled by how nice your bag holds up to the outside elements but you’ll need to clean the bag really well at least once a year with a leather conditioner. In between cleanings yearly I simply use a very lightly wet washcloth and wipe the edges down. You’ll see little marks and scratches, just lightly rub circles around the area of concern on the briefcase. Some may notice light color differences on your leather bag which is the natural imperfections on the skin itself, it’s natural that’s the beauty. You also lay the leather briefcase on the ground, on the floor in a car, elevator, etc, so you may want to clean the bottom of your leather bag once a month as it can stain if set in some sort of liquids like sodas, red juice, gum, so make sure to keep an eye on your investment, it only takes a few minutes to clean and looks brand new but broke in with that nice vintage leathery look.
